摘要

In this paper, the design of a dielectric multilayeraround a clay sample is presented to achieve a uniform electricfield distribution over that sample. This structure is located withina multimode microwave-heating oven and is designed by meansof genetic algorithms. The permittivity and geometric values forthe sample surrounding layers are the selected parameters tobe optimized in order to minimize the ratio between the typicaldeviation and the absolute value of the electric field. The resultsdemonstrate the improvement of the electric field uniformity overthe sample using dielectric layers.
